Johnny Tremain
We have begun reading our next novel for the course, Johnny Tremain.
Not all of us are "good" test-takers. Because of this, I believe it is important to include various ways to "test" students' knowledge of learned material. In addition to the usual test for this novel, students will be creating mind maps of the main events, characters, and vocabulary learned from this novel. Students will have creative freedom while they express what they have learned in new, unique ways.

My Brother Sam is DeadThis novel will be read at a faster pace than the previous books. The reason being is that Johnny Tremain covers the same time period, and it is a relatively easier read.
